Porting service performance example

40nm to 28nm Wifi IP Core

Porting all schematics and complex WiFi core layouts, including complex analog circuits and on-chip radios. Porting services as part of multiple projects to migrate communication devices, including all Bluetooth cores . The core has been transformed between the two major foundries, allowing customers to expand their IP portfolio and gain new licensing opportunities .

The source design database was based on the Cadence Virtuoso ™ platform and included parameterized cells, multi-part paths, and guard rings, along with layout data from the netlist.

The ported database has been released to the foundry and is in operation.

Complete migration of schematics, layouts, and related data for advanced HDMI cores from major European electronics companies used to support several multimedia SoC projects. IN2FAB's design migration services have allowed IP vendors to quickly accelerate product development in competitive markets and retain their own design engineers for other projects.

The fully migrated design was delivered just seven weeks after the project started and became a key element of your multimedia platform.

65nm to 40nm MIPI IP Core

Schematic and layout porting of the MIPI DPHY core to support the SoC product series. The circuit was ported from its own fab based on a bespoke design kit to a large commercial foundry process. All elements of the design kit were mapped to foundry technology and all porting was completed and delivered in 6 weeks.

Mobile 3G Platform

40nm3.png

65 nm to 45 nm porting of 12 analog and mixed-signal 3G platform modules to form the core of a custom cellular chipset. By migrating existing data, modules became available early in the design cycle of the main SoC, and we were able to win many businesses from strategic customers. IN2FAB's porting service has shortened the design cycle of these modules by 12 months compared to redesign, allowing our customer's engineer resources to work on new designs.

These modules are used in many large chipsets and are used in the core of millions of mobile devices around the world.

0.18um DC-DC Converter

Porting the full chip and associated database files from the external foundry to the new 0.18um internal process. The layout and schematic data were transformed, and the project also helped develop process design kits for new technologies for use in subsequent design projects.

The migrated circuits are in production and are used in a variety of battery-powered and power management applications.

x486 chip migration

x486.png

Full x 486 chips including CPU, cache, north and south bridges, I / O and ESD structures. In order to continue the production of large-scale endcasters, the foundry that was closed was moved to its own fab. All chips have been transformed into new processes and design rules along with legacy design files and other data.

The entire layout was ported in 6 weeks, and after running and verifying the operating system with a chip made of new fabs, it went into full-scale mass production.
